Trafalgar High School 100 Years Website in the News

We have decided to track online listings of the Trafalgar High School 100 Years Website and the Centennial Celebrations.

One of the very first Official mentions of the Trafalgar High School 100 Years Website was made by the local Cape Town Community Radio Station, The Voice of the Cape in which they carried the article, Trafalgar Marks 100 Years.

They announced the Official Launch date of the Trafalgar High School 100 Years Website as Thursday, 12 January 2012.

While Warren Ludski, Trafalgar Alumni, has been the major discussion Blog on matters relating to the Trafalgar High 100 Years Centennial Celebrations, the site was given mention in the Comments section by Mickey Peake, only after the above article emerged.

One of the major Online News Portals, IOL, also carried the article, City School turns 100 in The Argus online section and announced the Special Academic Assembly and Party.

IOL was first to publish details of the Special Academic Assembly and Party in the Cape Times online section today in the article titled, School that defied Apartheid, in which Trevor Manuel, The Minister in the Presidency for Planning, was the keynote speaker.

Our very own listing hit the top of search engine results on the second day after going live, Unofficial Launch of the Trafalgar High 100 Years Website.

However, truth be told, the very first unofficial mention of the website was carried by ALJAMA in its announcement of Partnering with Trafalgar High School in one of its Social Projects.

We will be keeping tabs of further mentions and echo them here going forward.

If we have missed any, let us know below.

UPDATES:

I attended the meeting at Trafalgar on 20th April. There have been subsequent meetings to report progress re Centenary celebrations. These meetings took place on 5th and 19th May. Kindly use this website to give feedback on decisions, actions taken etc. Rapid feedback to everyone interested is important as time is of the essence.

There were no outcomes regarding the meetings you mentioned, sanctioned for publication by the School.
You may have noticed that the website has gone through a major revamp at the School’s request, so yes it is active and yes, looks very different to previous one. Still a work in progress though.
As webmaster I can only publish information provided by the School.
